Hi, I installed this plug-in and i cannot seem to get around permissions issue.

“Error – You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page”

    – WordPress 2.9.2

    – Web-invoice 1.12.13

    – php 5.2.10

I previously had wp-invoice installed and it was causing permission issues (jquery compatibility issue with p2pconverter plugin) so i uninstalled p2pconverter and got wp-invoice working.

    Pluins installed:

    =================

    Wp-Reciprocal-Link-Manager

    WP-invoice (deactivated)

    StatPress Reloaded

    Socialize This

    SEO Ultimate

    Ozh’ Admin Drop Down Menu

    Google XML Sitemaps

    Dean’s Permalinks Migration

    Contact Form 7

    Advertising Manager (deactivated)

I would also like to import data from wp-invoice into this plugin once up and running

I’m assuming Web Invoice is enabled (make sure Web Invoice is not automatically disabled for some reason). I’m guessing you did manage to get to the Settings screen once and then you started getting permission issues. You have removed permission to manage Web Invoice from your user role. You can either login as the user group you assigned manage Web Invoice or download http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/capsman/ and assign the capability manage_web_invoice to your user role.

I’m wondering whether to move the ability to set the permission to a separate/sub plugin as quite a few managed to lock them selves out.

See http://mohanjith.net/blog/2009/03/how-to-migrate-from-wp-invoice-to-web-invoice.html how to migrate data. Since it was last year I wrote this, I would advice you to use it with caution. I haven’t checked WP-Invoice lately. If you successfully migrate please post back.

Please feel free to post if you have any issues

Thanks Mohanjith for replying, this is odd what you said and i think you said this earlier in the week as well but the fact is I was not able to go beyond plugin enabled process.

Ok, Capsman has done the job

I’ll update how I get on with wp-incoice-to-web-invoice migration.

Thanks for all your help Mohan
