Unless I am missing something here, I cant see an invoice date anywhere either on the generated invoice or when I view the invoice from admin.
I see the Due Date but not the Invoice Date.
February 16, 2010 at 22:09 #4912S H MohanjithMemberDo you see “This Invoice’s History”? See “Created on …”.
February 17, 2010 at 12:11 #4915Al.MemberI see that but I don’t see a date generated on the actual invoice? I dont know the law over there but over here unless an invoice has a date on it then it can’t be used for book keeping purposes.
February 17, 2010 at 19:31 #4918S H MohanjithMemberIn your opinion what should be considered the generated date? Date the invoice was sent to the customer or do you want another field to add the invoice date?
February 17, 2010 at 20:03 #4921Al.MemberThe ability to add the date via a field would be fine rather than tie it to the date it was sent. It gives more flexibility.
Also could you please ensure that the format is able to change to UK EU type date structure as an option DD-MM-YYYY
Thanks
February 18, 2010 at 08:22 #4924S H MohanjithMemberDate can be changed using localization strings. Can I know what’s your locale?
February 18, 2010 at 16:33 #4927Al.MemberI am originally from the UK but now live in Spain
February 21, 2010 at 14:02 #4930S H MohanjithMemberI meant the locale you use in WordPress
February 21, 2010 at 14:43 #4933Al.MemberAs I explained in the previous post I need the format to be dd/mm/yyyy English format.
It needs to be labelled “Date Of Invoice” or “Invoice Dated”
February 21, 2010 at 16:51 #4936S H MohanjithMemberWill add it soon.
February 23, 2010 at 16:00 #4939Al.MemberHi
Would you have an idea when this will be please?
February 23, 2010 at 22:12 #4942S H MohanjithMemberI can’t predict when invoice date will be added, however the date formats have been changed provided you select the correct locale. If it’s urgent you can make the changes and submit a patch or you can sponsor development, https://www.mohanjith.com/contact.html
You are not exactly helping the situation by posting so many questions.
February 24, 2010 at 14:23 #4945Al.MemberWell sorry if I have questions and issues. It was you who asked me to post them on the forum in the first place.
You lock my threads that havent been answered so how else am I supposed to look for answers?
I feel that for some reason you have some issues with me and you have started to make this personal.
All I have done is asked for some assistance in making your plug in better and to suit a wider non US market.
Having a date on an invoice in my opinion is critical. An invoice without a date is ridiculous how can anyone, client ot business use that for book keeping or accounting purposes?
I don’t see why I should be asked to sponsor such a basic function as having a date on an invoice!
February 25, 2010 at 08:09 #4948S H MohanjithMemberI’m asking you to be patient
February 26, 2010 at 14:43 #4951Al.MemberI have done a work around on this by using the “Due Date” as the “Invoice Date” I have no use for the due date as all the invoices I send out are due immediately.
